Singapore is an island in the heart of Southeast Asia, between Malaysia and Indonesia. It is located 137 kilometers north of the equator. As it is so near the equator, Singapore’s climate is tropical.Generally, the weather is hot and sunny all year.

Singapore consists of 3 major ethnic groups – Chinese, Malay and Indian. There is also a growing population of foreigners in the recent years. Despite the different ethnicity, Singaporeans mainly use English to communicate.

Being one of the most vibrant cities in the world, there are lots to do in this tiny island (only 712.4 sq km). Traveling around Singapore is relatively easy - by taxi, public trains or public buses. The time to get from one place to another is also very short, so you would be able to cover many attractions in a day.
